Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience in audiovisual support and troubleshooting equipment
- Familiarity with basic audio equipment
- Proficient in diagnosing and resolving tier 1 computer issues
- Ability to work independently and manage escalated problems effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Valid drivers license
- Capability to handle high-stress situations
- Willingness to learn various platforms such as Zoom, Windows, OSX, Google, Unix, Android, IOS, etc.
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Outstanding customer service orientation
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance to courtroom staff and participants, both in-person and remotely
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and scanners
- Assist with audio/video equipment setup and use
- Manage user VOIP desk-sets and document cameras
- Diagnose and repair tier 1 computer problems
- Handle help desk tier 1 trouble tickets
- Collaborate with Judicial Branch personnel on technical planning and coordination
- Install new equipment and maintain existing hardware in compliance with state requirements
- Track and manage hardware inventory and document statuses
- Develop operational procedures and training materials for staff
- Present information technology training sessions for individuals and groups
- Participate in emergency response during off hours when required
Description
We are a dedicated team looking for a Desktop Support professional to join us as a Tier 1 Support Specialist, focusing on AV and IT troubleshooting. Our ideal candidate will work onsite in the Machias, ME area, assisting with technology in courtrooms and offices. We offer a competitive wage of $27/hour along with benefits for local candidates within an hours radius of Machias. This role requires some travel to various courthouse locations using a personal vehicle, with mileage reimbursed. As a member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring technology functions smoothly for Judicial Branch employees and courtroom participants.
