Requirements
Must:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Engineering with a focus on Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering
- Proven academic success to qualify for ongoing participation in the co-op program
- Strong technical skills and a logical approach to problem resolution
- Excellent organizational abilities, teamwork, effective communication, and task prioritization skills
- Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies
- Maintains a professional demeanor
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance for automation systems and unit operations throughout the site
- Lead investigations and identify root causes to resolve issues; implement corrective solutions
- Execute basic change controls and validation qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Troubleshoot equipment-related issues within the automation scope and formulate effective engineering solutions
- Carry out engineering tasks during the design, procurement, fabrication, and commissioning stages for standard or custom systems
- Support the automation engineering strategy to ensure safe and reliable operation of process equipment and utility systems during and after installation
