Requirements
Must:
- Minimum B.S. in Engineering, with experience in Process Control Engineering, ideally within major pharmaceutical manufacturing focusing on automation, Utilities, Warehouse, and Building Automation systems.
- Over 10 years of experience in Biopharma engineering, operations, and manufacturing.
- Proven ability to collaborate with automation and compliance consultants to establish rigorous standards for automation work products.
- Track record in process control, automation, construction, quality, project management, safety, and engineering.
- Excellent team player with strong decision-making and influencing capabilities.
- Deep understanding of cGMP and FDA regulations.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at the executive level.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for engineering and automation functions to support manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with global biopharma standards and best practices.
- Plan and optimize machinery and equipment layouts to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Assess and test production equipment to guarantee reliability and compliance with cGMP and FDA regulations.
- Troubleshoot engineering issues and approve final designs for tools and systems.
- Modify machine and equipment designs according to production conditions for optimal integration with manufacturing operations.
- Implement and validate automation and manufacturing IT standards globally, ensuring effective project delivery.
- Manage the implementation, validation, and lifecycle of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and automation platforms.
- Ensure systems are robust, scalable, and adhere to regulatory requirements.
- Oversee planning and completion of engineering and automation projects, coordinating efforts across teams.
- Develop and deploy best practice frameworks and tools aligned with enterprise standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and project professionals effectively, fostering a cooperative environment.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in automation and execution systems to enhance manufacturing performance.
- Research and recommend emerging technologies for operational efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure knowledge of and compliance with cGMPs in FDA-regulated facilities, assisting with audits and regulatory submissions.
- Prioritize the development of team members through coaching and constructive feedback.
