Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Structural, or related field)
- Preferred: Masters degree or MBA
- Minimum of 7 years experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, or asset management in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, chemical, or similar regulated field
- Extensive experience managing globally distributed teams and influencing senior stakeholders within complex organizations, including governance and strategic portfolio management
- Proven success in implementing large-scale reliability programs and enhancing asset performance using structured methodologies; experience with technical support across multiple sites is advantageous
- Strong technical skills in root cause analysis, predictive diagnostics, risk management, and equipment lifecycle management
- Proficient with CMMS systems and SAP PM is a plus
- Experience in facilitating training, workshops, or capability development initiatives
- Willingness to travel internationally based on business requirements
- Expertise in GMP/non-GMP utilities and facilities related to pharmaceutical production; knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean principles is advantageous

- Deep technical knowledge in asset reliability, engineering fundamentals, and asset lifecycle management
- Strong analytical skills that enable data-informed decision-making and prioritization of global reliability risks

Responsibilities
- Formulate and uphold the global reliability strategy that aligns asset lifecycle performance and operational continuity with CSL engineering standards
- Develop standardized tools, frameworks, and metrics that enhance work process discipline across all manufacturing facilities
- Execute global assessments to pinpoint gaps, benchmark best practices, and ensure uniform application of reliability fundamentals
- Track global KPIs tied to asset reliability, maintenance efficiency, and operational risk, and relay insights to site and regional leadership
- Guarantee compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality requirements in all reliability-related functions
- Offer specialized technical guidance for complex equipment issues and high-risk investigations throughout the global network
- Mentor site teams in reliability methodologies such as RCM, FMEA, RCA, predictive diagnostics, and other engineering principles
- Assist in evaluating new technologies, materials, and designs to ensure maintainability, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Review equipment installation, commissioning, and qualification plans for consistency with asset lifecycle expectations
- Promote enhancements in preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, particularly through advanced diagnostic tools
- Collaborate with site engineering, maintenance, operations, quality, EHS, and OpEx teams to foster a shared understanding of reliability goals and enhance network alignment
- Lead global workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing forums to bolster technical skills in reliability engineering
- Aid in creating global training materials for maintenance engineering roles to ensure uniform training across sites
- Foster open communication and collaborative problem-solving across regional and global teams
- Exhibit flexibility in working hours to accommodate global stakeholders across different time zones

- Act as a cultural ambassador by exemplifying professionalism, ethical behavior, sound judgment, and inclusive cooperation

- Provide technical insights during capital project evaluations related to maintainability, reliability risk, and long-term asset performance
- Engage in audits, inspections, and program assessments to ensure compliance and promote ongoing improvements
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and business objectives led by global engineering or Kankakee site leadership, as applicable
- Participate in designated global meetings and forums to support information sharing, alignment, and decision-making
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisors or members of the Global Leadership Team in alignment with evolving business needs and cross-functional collaboration.
