Requirements
Must:
- Proficiency in estimating, particularly with Accubid preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Business, or Engineering (or near completion)
- At least one year of experience in electrical construction, with a solid understanding of construction sequencing, methods, and materials, including knowledge of electrical systems
- LEED AP and OSHA 30 certifications desirable but not mandatory
- Combination of trade experience, education, and relevant work experience will be considered
- Expertise in MS Office Suite and BlueBeam
- Demonstrated proactive attitude and initiative, capable of working autonomously
- Ability to interpret Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing drawings
- Familiarity with electrical codes, Local Union Labor Agreements, and State Compliance Laws/Regulations
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and oral
- Capability to perform under pressure and adapt to shifting job demands
- Reliability and punctuality for all company activities
- Team-oriented with leadership qualities
- Positive demeanor and customer-centric approach
Responsibilities
- Comprehend and adhere to company policies and procedures while assisting with:
- Managing document control and construction drawings
- Securing necessary permits
- Conducting electrical take-offs and project estimation
- Crafting submittals and shop drawings, and evaluating quoted materials
- Handling RFI logs and assessing RFIs for cost implications
- Overseeing purchase orders, vendor tracking, and releases
- Developing project budgets for internal monitoring and maintaining constant awareness of financial thresholds
- Estimating small tasks and change orders, managing estimates and logs, and overseeing pricing for extra work orders
- Collaborating with the lighting department to manage light fixtures, controls, and switchgear logs as needed
- Working with the pre-fab department on an as-needed basis
- Supplying field foremen with information, material tracking, and various administrative support
- Compiling and managing time and material documentation
- Taking responsibility for assigned tasks
- Monitoring and overseeing subcontractors
- Preparing reports and conducting schedule reviews for project assessments
- Executing job closeouts and O&M procedures
