Requirements
Must:
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of networking concepts (IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, VLANs)
- Experience in troubleshooting network connectivity problems
- Proficient with physical installations (mounting access points, cameras, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to handle multiple support requests effectively
- Excellent communication skills, especially with non-technical users
- Preferred experience with wireless access point configuration
- Experience in installing cellular signal boosters
- Familiarity with IP camera systems
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar
- Experience using ticketing systems
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Comfort with working on ladders during equipment installation
- Ability to run and terminate network cables as needed
- Self-motivated with strong troubleshooting skills
- Organized, detail-oriented approach
- Customer-focused mindset
- Willingness to learn and advance in the IT field
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot both wired and wireless network issues (LAN/WAN) as they occur
- Install, configure, and maintain networking hardware
- Assist in setting up and installing cellular signal boosters
- Diagnose connectivity problems across various devices and locations
- Perform cable runs and organize network racks as necessary
- Install and replace IP security cameras
- Configure devices that connect to the network
- Maintain and document hardware inventory efficiently
- Aid in workstation setup and deployment processes
- Respond promptly to and resolve support tickets
- Provide both onsite and remote technical support to end users
- Support printers, VoIP phones, and other office technologies
- Escalate more complex issues when appropriate
