Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of four years of industrial computer manufacturing experience, with at least two years in assisting customers with custom computer system configuration
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient understanding of engineering science and technology applications
- Familiarity with design methodologies, tools, and principles for producing precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
- Knowledge of military testing standards and their practical applications
- Understanding of IPC 610, IPC 620, and J-STD standards
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Four-year degree in computer engineering, systems engineering, computer science, or a related discipline
Responsibilities
- Collaborate within the Engineering department to convert customer specification requirements from the quoting phase into practical designs
- Produce engineering data packages for designs, encompassing service instructions, block diagrams, cable drawings, assembly instructions, bills of materials, part numbers, and product datasheets
- Troubleshoot intricate hardware and software issues and resolve problems in high-performance computing systems
- Investigate emerging technologies and develop prototypes for innovative computer hardware or software applications
- Implement technology roadmaps for tactical computing equipment to assist customers in establishing future directions
- Serve as the technical expert between the Engineering, Sales, and Operations departments
- Work with Sales during the quoting phase to ensure products align with customer specifications
- Assess priorities based on workload, opportunities, and response times
- Address technical queries from customers regarding configurations and any necessary changes
- Research alternatives for end-of-life (EOL) or long lead time products to guarantee that replacements meet necessary specifications
- Review and confirm project documentation for completeness, formatting, and compliance with company standards
- Provide technical assistance to Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, and Operations teams as required
- Identify and evaluate new product opportunities, advocating for the development of our new offerings
- Design and troubleshoot demonstration or evaluation hardware for new products
- Perform additional duties as assigned as needed
