Requirements
Must:
- High School Diploma required
- Exceptional computer literacy
- Astute attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work independently while managing priorities effectively
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate well with others
- Dependable transportation needed
- Basic knowledge of C programming language or equivalent PLC logic required
- Flexibility for duty assignments based on service requests and internal software developments
- Familiarity with QT, CAD, and communication protocols like J1939 is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Basic IT skills, including networking, software, and computer setups are a plus
Responsibilities
- Create software code primarily in C language using COBOs and commercial software tools such as Freescale CodeWarrior and QT for devices designed by COBO
- Conduct software testing and validation, while collaborating with customers to define specifications and ensure final validation
- Develop fundamental logic for COBO I/O modules to enable interaction with real-world machine functions
- Utilize basic knowledge of ERP systems, preferably AS400, to search for parts and system BOMs
- Engage in internal software development projects, such as test programs for components or wiring harnesses when not occupied with customer-related tasks
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access effectively
- Troubleshoot and debug parts returned by customers that may have software-related defects
- Identify COBO system components and associate them with the correct COBO part numbers
- Communicate with customers for clarification as necessary
- Document the software through manuals and other documentation
