Requirements
Must:
- Proven hands-on experience in developing web applications using Python.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Dash or similar Python web frameworks.
- Experience with implementing user entitlements, role-based access control, and authorization models.
- Background in deploying or supporting applications in Microsoft Azure, including App Services, Azure Functions, Azure AD, and monitoring solutions.
- Experience working in the financial services sector or other highly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with cloud-based CI/CD pipelines and enterprise DevOps methodologies.
- Previous collaboration with security, risk, or compliance teams.
- Track record of enhancing an existing application for enterprise or regulated environments.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements such as audit logging, access controls, and secure data management.
- Capability to evaluate an existing codebase promptly and implement practical enhancements.
- Self-motivated and capable of taking full ownership of project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Analyze the current Python application architecture and upgrade it to meet enterprise standards.
- Refactor and improve the codebase for better maintainability, performance, and scalability.
- Define clear design patterns, documentation practices, and development standards.
- Implement user entitlements and establish role-based access control frameworks.
- Ensure security measures for authentication and authorization conform to enterprise identity standards.
- Partner with security teams to address findings, audits, and compliance needs.
- Adapt the application to meet stringent regulatory and compliance requirements, including auditability and data handling.
- Introduce effective monitoring, logging, and traceability for auditing and operational management.
- Ensure the applications preparedness for enterprise deployment and ongoing support.
- Enhance reliability, error handling capabilities, and overall observability.
- Assist with deployment processes, environment readiness, and transition to production support teams.
- Keep both technical and non-technical stakeholders informed about progress, potential risks, and trade-offs.
