Requirements
Must:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED; BS degree in a technical or business discipline is preferred, with a preference for a BS in Engineering
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with progressive responsibilities, including supervision
- At least 3 years of project management experience, averaging a minimum of 30 hours of service weekly
- Proficient in using office equipment, including personal computers, and Microsoft Office applications
- Skills in developing and recommending assembly and testing processes to ensure reliability, durability, and performance; Six Sigma certification is a plus
- Ability to read and understand prints; GD&T training is preferred, as well as understanding MSDS sheets
- Strong analytical and logic skills with the capability to implement solutions
- Familiarity with various machinery such as welding, machining, washing, pressing, and material handling equipment
- Strong mechanical skills and the ability to convey knowledge effectively
- Extensive experience with manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment; must be able to perform physical tasks, including walking, standing, bending, lifting, stooping, and reaching
- Knowledge of different drawing formats, measurement units, and measuring tools and techniques
- Understanding OSHA, ANSI, and EPA regulations as they pertain to industrial settings is preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee assigned projects/tasks to ensure they are completed on time
- Drive production safety, quality, and efficiency as a key priority
- Manage expense tracking and work orders for relevant accounts, supporting Open Book Management
- Ensure project timelines are met, balancing creativity and budget constraints
- Supervise product release projects from initiation through to production approval, along with ongoing product support after release
- Collaborate with the Director of Engineering on budgeting and planning for new products
- Engage in the APQP Process and work with Manufacturing Engineers to ascertain required capital
- Conduct research on new product information; lead and guide a team through all functions of the discipline
- Collaborate with CNH Engineering for technical advice and authorization on remanufacturing methods
- Interpret component drawings, service manuals, part catalogs, service bulletins, and engineering releases
- Supervise personnel and technicians, aiding the project coordinator/accounting in establishing cost standards
- Oversee and assist in the creation of Bills of Material (BOMs), including core and new component replacement percentages
- Review and support the development of FMEA, work instructions, control plans, labor standards, and production control documents; assist in validating aftermarket parts and new or secondary suppliers
- Assist with Change Requests (PCRs), Document Change Notices (DCNs), RERs, and BOM change requests specific to products
- Help the engineering buyer/materials team source and obtain pricing for new parts not currently in the system
- Communicate with Manufacturing Engineers regarding tooling, specifications, testing, etc. for new product launches
- Coordinate the PPAP process for new product introductions, submitting all necessary documentation for PPAP approval; research product details for part number revisions and upgrades
- Undertake additional responsibilities as designated by the Director of Engineering, including timecard approval, incident reporting, and submission of monthly engineering expense tracking sheets
