Requirements
Must:
- 6+ years of experience in Python development for backend services and application logic
- Proficiency in building REST APIs using frameworks like Flask, Django, or FastAPI
- Strong grasp of clean code principles, error management, and sustainable software design
- Familiarity with Python libraries including Pandas and Boto3
- Practical experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, EC2, ECS/Fargate, RDS, Redshift, Glue, Step Functions, and CloudWatch
- Ability to create event-driven and serverless architectures
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and operational observability in cloud platforms
- Experience constructing or maintaining ETL pipelines with tools like AWS Glue, PySpark, or Lambda
- Advanced SQL capabilities and experience with relational databases like Postgres, Aurora, MySQL, or SQL Server
- Understanding of data modeling, schema evolution, and query optimization
- Experience handling data in S3 and working with formats like Parquet or JSON
- Skilled in Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar technologies
- Competency in containerization using Docker
- Familiarity with shell scripting and AWS CLI for automation tasks
- Understanding of Agile development tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Experience with automated testing frameworks like PyTest
- Capability to create unit tests, integration tests, and automation pipelines for testing
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding platforms like GitHub Copilot
- Ability to responsibly utilize AI tools to enhance development, testing, documentation, and code quality
- Basic experience with Angular for front-end development and API integration (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Comfortable working collaboratively within Agile teams
- Capacity to comprehend and refine existing codebases while ensuring documentation and quality standards are upheld
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable cloud-native applications and backend services within an AWS framework
- Create high-quality Python-based services, build data pipelines, and integrate APIs as necessary across both backend and frontend layers
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to create secure, reliable, and maintainable systems
- Develop RESTful APIs and contribute to building data pipelines and CI/CD processes
- Provide support for cloud-based infrastructure and utilize modern development tools, including AI-assisted coding platforms, to enhance productivity, testing, and code quality
- Engage in the full development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to development, testing, and deployment in an Agile environment
