Requirements
Must:
- Houston-based or willing to relocate and comfortable with client-facing work in a hybrid setup.
- 3-7 years of relevant background in consulting, data/analytics, AI/ML, digital transformation, product, or solution architecture (or equivalent experience through advanced education plus applied projects).
- Strong foundation in data platforms and analytics with the capability to lead workstreams: Data management principles (quality, lineage, governance, stewardship), modern data engineering methods, and integration techniques.
- Practical knowledge of AI / GenAI implementation: defining use cases, value assumptions, and assessment methodologies, with an understanding of implementation factors (risk management, monitoring, change management, ethical usage).
- Outstanding client communication, structured problem-solving abilities, and skills in delivering executive-level narratives.
- Masters degree preferred; MBA or PhD is especially desirable when paired with practical experience in delivery.
- Exposure to cloud architecture (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform), familiarity with MLOps, and/or experience with platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure ML, etc.
- Background in product management or experience design (including service design, journey mapping, experimentation, or ownership of roadmaps).
- Proven external presence through published articles, conference presentations, teaching engagements, podcasts, community involvement, or active participation in professional associations.
Responsibilities
- Lead workstreams focused on data/AI projects covering data governance, platform enhancement, engineering/integration, analytics, and applied AI/GenAI.
- Facilitate workshops to assess current conditions, envision future states, discover use cases, map value, and create roadmaps.
- Convert strategies into practical delivery plans including epics/features, delivery timelines, operational models, and adoption strategies.
- Develop solution architectures and practical designs: reference architectures, integration strategies, privacy/security considerations in collaboration with subject matter experts, and build-vs-buy analyses.
- Mentor junior team members and ensure deliverables are of high quality with compelling narratives for clients.
- Take ownership or co-ownership of thought leadership initiatives: points of view, client summaries, conference submissions, and executive briefs.
- Act as a representative for CGI in Houston by participating in speaking events, panels, university engagements, and industry organizations (often alongside leadership).
- Assist in business development activities: documenting discovery notes, formulating solution approaches, drafting proposal narratives, providing estimate contributions, and crafting statements of work.
- Help standardize internal operational processes: reusable SOW language, delivery playbooks, estimation models, engagement starter kits, and streamline invoicing/SOW management processes.
