Requirements
Must:
- 5-8 years of practical experience in applied data science or machine learning engineering
- Proficient in Python, SQL, and contemporary machine learning frameworks (such as sklearn, XGBoost)
- Strong understanding of statistics, experimentation, and model evaluation techniques
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to implement machine learning models
- Strong communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Preferred experience with SaaS or product analytics, particularly in adoption and retention modeling
- Familiarity with DevOps/ML Ops practices for managing the model lifecycle
- Knowledge of customer health, product telemetry, or support analytics
- Understanding of bias mitigation, explainability, and ML governance best practices
Responsibilities
- Design and develop machine learning models to predict outcomes and suggest actions that enhance business success
- Continuously assess, validate, and refine model performance for sustained reliability
- Transform business signals into actionable, predictive insights
- Collaborate with data engineering to integrate models into business intelligence and essential operational systems
- Facilitate AI-assisted workflows and ensure model alignment with operational processes
- Work alongside reporting teams to simplify complex predictions into understandable business insights
- Partner with domain and operations leaders to pinpoint high-impact machine learning use cases
- Evaluate model performance and return on investment to prioritize high-value projects
- Create early warning systems for risk detection and performance enhancement
- Ensure models comply with governance standards, are transparent, and yield trustworthy, explainable results
- Contribute to best practices in data quality, lineage, and feature storage
- Document model explainability to bolster leadership confidence in AI-supported decisions
