Requirements
Must:
- 3+ years of experience in Windows server administration
- Background in supporting enterprise applications and infrastructure
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory
- Familiarity with virtualization, networking, and cloud solutions
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related area (or equivalent experience) - preferred
- Relevant cloud or infrastructure certifications (e.g., Azure, AWS) - preferred
- Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks - preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows-based infrastructure including servers, networking, storage, and cloud environments
- Monitor system performance, address issues, and ensure optimal uptime
- Oversee Active Directory, user accounts, and group policy management
- Execute system patching, upgrades, and software installations
- Detect and resolve security vulnerabilities
- Assist in the deployment of infrastructure and enterprise applications
- Keep accurate documentation for systems and procedures
- Ensure adherence to compliance standards (e.g., SOX, PCI)
- Be available for on-call support as required
Description
We are CDW, seeking a skilled Windows Engineer to support and maintain our enterprise infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments in Roanoke, IN. This is a 6-month contract role with the opportunity to transition to a full-time position. Our focus is on ensuring system reliability, security, and performance while supporting critical business applications and infrastructure.
