Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering
- Strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, and network security
- Proven experience with multi-site or global network environments
- Background in working with managed network providers or Network Operations Centers (NOCs)
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities in WAN, DNS, and application performance
- Familiarity with SD-WAN platforms (VMware VeloCloud or similar)
- Experience with Fortinet or similar firewall technologies
- Knowledge of Cisco Meraki environments
- Cloud networking exposure, specifically with Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience in leading technical projects or coordinating cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Design, support, and enhance enterprise LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and SD-WAN infrastructure
- Administer and troubleshoot SD-WAN solutions focusing on routing, performance, and failover
- Manage firewall platforms, preferably Fortinet, ensuring proper segmentation and security compliance
- Collaborate with managed service providers (NOC/SD-WAN) to address issues and optimize performance
- Lead troubleshooting processes, conduct root cause analyses, and resolve incidents
- Support initiatives for network modernization and SD-WAN transformations
- Manage DNS, routing, and cloud connectivity for Azure and Google Cloud Platform
- Ensure network high availability and compliance with security best practices

At CDDW, we are searching for a proactive Network Engineer to assist in managing and enhancing our global enterprise network, which spans over 40 sites. This hybrid role allows for both onsite and remote work, situated in Chicago, IL.
