Must:
- Educational Background: I require candidates to have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering. - Industry Experience: You should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the software sector, including 4 years in leadership roles focused on managing cloud-based SaaS products. - Technical Expertise: - Proficient in cloud services (AWS/Azure), API design, and modern software development practices, including Agile methodologies and DevOps practices. - I am looking for a hands-on technical leader who can also coach on architecture and design. - Strong knowledge in scalable cloud and data architecture is essential, alongside mandatory experience with SQL and NoSQL technologies. - Familiarity with CAD and BOM data models as well as knowledge of CPQ technologies would be a significant advantage. - Proficiency in Three.js and WebGL is a plus. - Leadership Skills: A proven track record of managing large teams and complex projects within a matrix organizational structure is essential, along with strong mentorship and team development capabilities. - Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are necessary, with experience in presentations and engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. - Strategic Vision: The ability to convert business needs into actionable technological strategies and detailed execution plans is crucial.

Responsibilities

- Lead SaaS Digital Solutions: I will direct the entire development process of cloud and edge-centric digital solutions, such as visual configurators and SaaS solutions, that enhance real-time 3D data and visualization, as well as interactive digital content creation across platforms. I will also instill a process-oriented culture with best practices in engineering leadership. - Innovate with Cutting-Edge Technologies: I will utilize technologies like Three.js and WebGL to push the limits of digital product visualization, ensuring our solutions remain at the forefront of industry trends. - Matrix Management: I will effectively manage teams within a matrix structure, focusing on hiring, mentoring, career advancement, and the performance management of team members. - Vendor and Budget Management: I will oversee vendor relationships and budget allocations to guarantee project delivery without sacrificing quality. - Collaborate Across Functions: I will work closely with Digital Program and Project Managers and operational teams to ensure successful and timely solution delivery. - Technical Leadership and Mentorship: I will provide ongoing technical guidance and mentorship, establishing best practices for development and deployment while promoting a culture of continuous improvement. - Strategic Stakeholder Engagement: I will engage with the General Manager, Sales, and Presales teams to ensure alignment with business priorities, providing operational leadership, and periodically reporting on the progress of Engineering Products. - Team Morale and Success: I will cultivate an environment that encourages high team morale and persistence in achieving success. I aim to be a player-coach, actively participating in team activities and driving efficiency and productivity.

This role is for a Director of Software Engineering within CDS Visual, a Dover corporation that empowers manufacturers to unlock their CAD assets to create dynamic, interactive visual experiences that enhance the complete customer and product lifecycle. Our cloud-based visualization solutions, trusted by major industrial suppliers worldwide, are revolutionizing commerce, configure price quote (CPQ), and training initiatives. With a diverse range of 2D and 3D visualization solutions, we uniquely repurpose existing CAD assets to deliver impactful solutions for configurations, aftermarket part searches, digital work instructions, and improved digital content. This position requires strategic leadership and tactical execution to develop and maintain a robust digital product portfolio within a connected platform. This opportunity is hybrid and offers a competitive salary range of $200,000 to $225,000 annually, with eligibility for a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and outlined criteria.
