Infrastructure Engineering - Mainframe Systems

- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred - Over 10 years of varied experience in multiple areas of information technology required; experience in the securities or financial services sector is an advantage - Proficient in diverse mainframe technical environments - Knowledgeable in one or more mainframe infrastructure, hardware, system programming technologies, and/or application development - Demonstrated high learning agility to acquire mainframe technology knowledge and apply past experiences for achieving operational goals - Direct experience in Mainframe systems is essential - Proven leadership abilities to guide a technical team and foster relationships - Strategic thinker with a focus on driving team success - Strong communication skills to effectively lead at client, team, and business unit levels - Experienced in managing complex projects and programs - Familiarity with tooling, utilities, and data transport - Knowledgeable in architecture and design principles - Skilled in influencing internal and external stakeholders at various levels, with the ability to address complex technical topics clearly and concisely - Capable of managing relationships across organizations, clients, and functions - Preferred expertise in one or more areas of mainframe discipline - ITIL or ITSM experience, particularly in Release, Change, and CMDB - Familiarity with ISV software and IBM operating systems - Understanding of SMP/E or maintenance procedures when applicable - Knowledge of JCL and system IPL processes - Understanding of ISPF/TSO Framework and experience in mainframe platform management
