Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Azure Databricks and data processing frameworks.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL methodologies, and data pipeline architecture.
- Experience with SQL, Python, and Spark.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes utilizing Azure Databricks, Data Factory, and various Azure services.
- Implement and enhance Spark jobs, data transformations, and processing workflows.
- Manage Databricks notebooks and work with Delta Lake using Python and Spark SQL in Databricks.
- Utilize Azure DevOps and best practices in CI/CD to automate deployments and manage data pipelines and infrastructure.
- Ensure data integrity and quality with a focus on achieving zero errors in production deployments.
- Stay updated on new Databricks features like Unity Catalog, Lake Flow, and Catalog Federation.
- Engage in hands-on data extraction, transformation, and loading, including handling schemas, corrupt records, and optimizing automation of ETL processes.
Description
We are seeking a Pyspark and Databricks Developer to join our team in a hybrid role, with preference given to local candidates in Atlanta. This position is expected to last between 12 to 24 months and presents an exciting opportunity to work on various data projects within the Azure ecosystem.
