Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in CICS
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience is necessary; advanced degree and certifications are advantageous
- Familiarity with CICS/TS internals and operations
- Proficient in JCL and various vendor utility applications
- Strong analytical and debugging abilities, with knowledge of COBOL and CICS Command Level language
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with developers, support teams, software vendors, and management
- Availability for 24x7 on-call support in a rotational capacity
- Experience with zOS CONNECT and/or zOSMF
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support and maintenance of the Mainframe CICS Environment and related products
- Collaborate with IBM, vendor utilities, and different technical teams to support real-time business operations
- Implement CICS vendor software maintenance and manage z/OS Connect interfaces with CICS, CPSM, and CICS Explorer
- Engage in troubleshooting and diagnosis activities, ensuring high system availability
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation, offering prompt problem resolution
- Coordinate with management and technical staff to plan and prioritize project tasks based on departmental objectives
- Offer business unit support and perform testing as needed
Description
We are a dynamic company situated in Pittsburgh or Lake Mary, FL, operating with a hybrid in-office work model. This role spans over 9 months and offers the opportunity to work closely with our CICS support group, directly interfacing with business units and technical teams. Joining us will provide exposure to various aspects of CICS systems and system programming, ensuring a broad learning experience.
