Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a Backend Web Developer
- Strong background in public transit or transportation agency projects

Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend systems for the revamped SMART website and employee portal
- Integrate various tools such as service alerts, trip-planning aids, and notification platforms
- Configure and optimize the backend of the chosen content management system
- Create structured content types, establish permissions, and develop reusable components
- Develop the necessary APIs and middleware to deliver real-time transit data
- Ensure compliance with security, performance, and accessibility standards
- Work closely with front-end developers, UX designers, and SMART stakeholders
- Assist in content migration and backend quality assurance tasks
- Help set up hosting environments and plan infrastructure needs
- Perform thorough testing, debugging, and optimization of backend functionalities
- Compile and maintain backend documentation and technical diagrams
