Requirements
Must:
- Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL (packages, stored procedures, cursors, dynamic SQL, performance tuning)
- Demonstrated experience in designing and executing ETL processes
- Practical experience with SSIS or similar integration tools
- Knowledge of Clever Devices Cleverware software and transit operations data
- Proficient in Unix/Linux shell scripting, especially Korn Shell (KSH)
- In-depth understanding of relational database design, normalization, and data modeling
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures, linked servers)
- Experience using job scheduling tools such as Autosys, Control-M, or cron
- Ability to operate independently and adhere to deadlines in a production support setting
- Preferred: Working knowledge of .NET (C# or VB.NET) for database integration
- Preferred: Experience integrating Cleverware data into enterprise data warehouses or BI platforms
- Preferred: Understanding of transit industry data standards like GTFS, GTFS-RT, or TCIP
- Preferred: Experience with REST and SOAP APIs
- Preferred: Background supporting transit systems or public sector environments
Responsibilities
- Act as a senior developer for transit systems and Cleverware upgrade projects
- Design, develop, and enhance Oracle PL/SQL components
- Create and implement ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading
- Maintain integrations using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or comparable tools
- Enhance Clever Devices Cleverware software, focusing on data structures and APIs
- Develop and manage Unix/Linux shell scripts for automation and batch processing
- Provide database connectivity and integration assistance using .NET technologies (C# or VB.NET)
- Design and oversee relational data models to ensure proper normalization and efficiency
- Develop Microsoft SQL Server solutions and maintain T-SQL, stored procedures, and linked servers
- Integrate Cleverware data with enterprise data warehouses and BI platforms like Power BI, SSRS, or Tableau
- Manage data processing workflows using job scheduling tools such as Autosys, Control-M, or cron
- Support REST and SOAP API integrations for data exchange
- Work autonomously in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment while adhering to change, release, and escalation protocols
