Requirements
Must:
- Over 10 years of relevant experience with ASP.NET
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in C#
- At least 5 years of experience working with MVC frameworks
- More than 5 years of experience in identifying and resolving application security challenges across various technologies
- 5+ years of experience with Oracle SQL
- Proficient in developing and consuming web services
- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities
- Excellent problem-solving skills for complex programming issues
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field with pertinent IT expertise
- Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision
Responsibilities
- Analyze current IDOH applications and engage in the design and development of new web-based solutions
- Create a public-facing website to help the State of Indiana monitor registrations and inspections of mobile food facilities
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, covering requirements analysis, design, development, unit testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, business analysts, functional teams, and external partners to achieve project objectives
- Convert business requirements into technical specifications and system designs that align with agency standards and state and federal regulations
- Implement object-oriented programming concepts and best practices throughout the development and testing phases
- Develop application code utilizing the Microsoft .NET Framework, MVC frameworks, and C#
- Design and execute unit testing strategies to guarantee application quality and performance
- Prototype, refine, test, troubleshoot, and enhance applications based on feedback from stakeholders
- Ensure project milestones are achieved while providing regular updates to the Project Manager
- Consider agency architecture standards and business decisions when designing solutions
- Work independently under general supervision, applying sound technical judgment
- Assist with EDI-related activities as required, including requirement analysis, documentation, and collaboration with EDI and program teams
- Address EDI data transmission issues to ensure accurate file exchanges with external trading partners
- Provide helpdesk-level support for EDI claim transactions as necessary
