Requirements
Must:
- 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong understanding of Inmon data warehousing principles and business intelligence data architecture
- Proficiency in Data Modeling Normal Forms, Diagramming, Fact and Dimension modeling, Inmon concepts
- Basic knowledge of Oracle, including database files, table spaces, and performance issues specific to data warehousing
- Extensive experience in Oracle SQL programming and query optimization
- Familiarity with MS SQL Server databases
- Proven ability to manage large datasets and troubleshoot data-related problems
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel, including creating presentation-quality documents and pivot tables
- Solid experience in data profiling and data quality assurance, including audit trail creation
- Background in accounting support is essential, with a successful history in reconciliations and audits
- Expertise in tuning queries for maximum performance
- Capacity to interact with business users to swiftly translate reporting requirements into high-quality deliverables
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business partners
- Competence in justifying data analysis findings to both technical and business audiences
- Experience with MS SSIS
- Awareness of data conformity for reporting and the capability to devise solutions for compliance issues
- Excellent time-management skills
- Demonstrated sense of ownership and commitment to performance excellence
Responsibilities
- Design and construct Data Marts
- Develop, maintain, and optimize complex SQL scripts
- Create and manage custom reports based on SQL
- Uphold sophisticated data models
- Establish and oversee data interfaces (scripted ETL) connecting our on-premise Oracle environment with MS SQL Server on Azure
- Build and maintain Oracle Data Marts alongside relevant ETL processes, including hard coding in native SQL
- Use advanced Oracle SQL Loader expertise to import data from files into Oracle databases
- Manage data imports and exports from SQL Server/Oracle XML and CLOB Queries, converting data into standard Oracle tables
- Execute XML queries and establish XML to relational data models and ETL processes
