Responsibilities
- Grasp, comprehend, and comply with Federal and State laws, including Federal and State Medicaid regulations, rules, standards, and State Policies related to public assistance programs
- Adhere to all CAI and State security protocols
- Utilize available computer inquiry systems to obtain necessary verifications
- Onboard new clients using an intake questionnaire to evaluate applicants’ eligibility for Medicaid benefits
- Analyze applicants’ financial information and enter calculations into the eligibility system
- Conduct client interviews to gather and exchange general and sensitive information for eligibility determination
- Collaborate closely with clients to securely collect application documents in digital formats (pdf, jpg, etc.)
- Document all case management details using the eligibility system
- Participate in one-on-one meetings and staff meetings to stay updated on processes and procedures
- Take on additional case management responsibilities as required
