Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a software engineer in fast-paced product environments
- At least 4 years of experience with Python, Oracle PL/SQL, and .Net
- Expertise in TypeScript and Node, along with familiarity with test frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Jest, Mocha, Flutter, Detox, Moropo, Locust, JMeter, or custom-built tools
- Strong full-stack comprehension with extensive knowledge of RESTful APIs, message queues, and service-oriented architecture
- Experience with Docker, local environment orchestration, and integrating tests into CI pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Harness)
- Robust understanding of modern testing pyramid principles, including balancing unit, integration, and end-to-end test automation, as well as tools and processes for measuring and enhancing test coverage and impact analysis
- Expertise across network layers with the ability to analyze HAR and performance metrics
- Demonstrated interest or experience in AI-assisted code generation and prompt engineering using large language models (LLMs)
- Passion for system design, scalability, and thoughtful failure investigation in testing, with a solid grasp of testing methodologies and tools
- Proven track record of crafting and executing test cases for complex software applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to identify challenges and propose solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration across teams
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and environments
- Strong debugging and scripting abilities
- Good communication and documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and sustain internal tools and comprehensive frameworks that support unit, integration, API, and UI testing using contemporary methods with Jest, Locust, Flutter (iOS & Android), and Playwright
- Implement containerized and reproducible test environments using Docker and CI/CD pipelines to facilitate both local and extensive execution
- Contribute to integration testing strategies for validating inter-service and shared dependencies
- Architect and enhance load, scale, and performance testing systems to understand system limits, verify resilience, and protect essential user journeys
- Construct data-generation pipelines to produce realistic workloads and performance testing scenarios
- Utilize Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools (Datadog RUM, APM, DBM preferred) for build-over-build monitoring and issue resolution
- Assess and incorporate AI-driven tools for automated test generation and maintenance
- Integrate self-healing, intelligent failure analysis, and test recommendations into CI pipelines
- Collaborate with teams to adopt the tools and frameworks established by Test Infrastructure with a shift-left strategy in mind
- Advocate for best practices surrounding metrics-based test infrastructure visibility and monitoring
- Mentor teammates on software architecture and design patterns

The compensation for this role is set between $60.00 and $65.00 per hour, with the actual salary influenced by various factors such as location, experience, and education.
