Requirements
Must:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Fairfax Application Development and Support
- Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field
- Experience testing financial business applications, particularly Tax Processing Systems like RPE and FAST
- Familiarity with document scanning systems and quality assurance testing
- Knowledge of Fairfax Imaging solutions or comparable capture tools (e.g., Kofax, OnBase)
- Comprehensive understanding of the Fairfax database structure and familiarity with tax system database structures
- Basic understanding of scanning hardware, OCR, and data capture workflows
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, Acrobat Pro, SQL, Fairfax data tools, and job scheduling tools
- Experience with Windows Server, including installation and administration of Windows Services and ODBC connections
- Strong attention to detail and ability to clearly document test results
- Ability to work collaboratively with minimal supervision
- Proactive and capable of learning various business systems utilized within the department
- Sufficient technical and analytical background to learn, use, and test business or systems processes, including Team Foundation Server (TFS) and RT for Fairfax Software
Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for the Fairfax application and its interface to the destination system
- Draft comprehensive specifications for all new forms and annual updates of existing forms
- Execute release instructions to deploy Fairfax updates to TEST or PROD environments
- Conduct thorough testing of scanning processes, image quality, and OCR/ICR data extraction
- Validate the accuracy of batch creation, indexing, barcodes, and metadata
- Support user acceptance testing and assist technical teams during deployments, including running interface processes
- Assist in and execute test form data preparation tasks
- Document test cases, monitor defects, and report issues as needed
- Participate actively in team meetings
- Acquire knowledge of the clients business applications to support testing activities, with a focus on taxation and tax forms
- Communicate issues professionally and collaborate effectively with team members and business associates
- Interact directly with business users and clients in a professional manner
