Requirements

Must:
- BS or BA degree in a Technical Discipline - Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Software/Systems Engineering for DoD aircraft systems, weapons systems, mission systems, or support systems - Proven experience in the design, development, integration, and system testing of computer hardware and software - Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET level clearance - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Excellent presentation capabilities - Strong critical thinking and analytical skills - Familiarity with DOD-STD-2167A, MIL-STD-498, or IEEE 12207 is preferred - Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and software is desirable - Knowledge of Systems Software, Systems-of-Systems engineering, and model-based systems engineering is a plus

Responsibilities

- Execute Software Systems Engineering for the acquisition, development, and maintenance of various programs related to aircraft and weapons systems - Evaluate system resources and software requirements within the software development process - Conduct design assessments, software definitions, code writing, and unit testing - Perform integration testing, software delivery, and independent software evaluations - Oversee software quality assurance and configuration management tasks - Review Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) documentation - Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews including SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, and TRRs - Evaluate supporting documentation to ensure compliance with Government standards - Engage in all phases of the software life-cycle from requirements analysis to testing - Provide feedback on proposed system requirements based on government input - Ensure system requirements align with program objectives - Support program reviews and status meetings - Assist with the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process - Aid in the development of Statements of Work and CDRL documentation - Conduct technical assessments of contractor proposals - Offer recommendations concerning human systems engineering
