Requirements
Must:
- Expertise with BigID, including hands-on deployment and operations management
- 5-7 years of experience securing AWS (IAM, VPC, GuardDuty, KMS) with a background in migration projects
- Understanding of data security and privacy frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA), as well as best practices for data governance and classification
- Familiarity with cloud and big data technologies, specifically AWS/GCP, Spark, and Hadoop
- Technical skills in Python and Shell scripting, along with API integration capabilities
- Experience in conducting design reviews, threat modeling, and formulating migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor)
- Strong communication skills to convey security implications to non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Deploy and manage BigID for data discovery, classification, and privacy compliance across development, testing, and production environments
- Architect AWS security patterns for application migrations, defining best practices and guardrails
- Facilitate collaboration between technical teams, application owners, and business stakeholders to ensure security is an enabler
- Install, configure, and maintain BigID across various environments; onboard data sources, validate scans, and optimize processing pipelines
- Implement data governance measures including classification, sensitivity labeling, and compliance enforcement
- Oversee API integrations and drive cloud platform expansion efforts
- Define reusable security patterns and guardrails for AWS migrations, focusing on IAM, VPC, and other security controls
- Lead design reviews and threat modeling sessions, as well as assess migration strategies to enhance security
- Set requirements for data protection encompassing encryption and classification processes
- Mentor technical teams on scalability and enterprise data strategy, translating technical risks into business language for decision-makers
- Address technical issues, promote platform adoption, and align projects with organizational priorities and risk tolerance
