Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Over 5 years of applicable experience or sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities for the role
- Extensive hands-on experience with both SAP Security and BASIS
- Proficient in supporting SAP integrations and interfaces
- Strong understanding of SAP authorization concepts, role design, and user administration
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.) and relevant business systems (e.g., ECC, S4/HANA)
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovative abilities to identify, develop, and implement effective strategic solutions
- Strong grasp of Project Management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid
- Proven collaborative skills with the ability to share ideas and best practices effectively
- Advanced degree in a related field is preferred
- Certification(s) in SAP Security and BASIS are advantageous
- Over 8 years of relevant experience preferred
- Exposure to industries like Manufacturing, Food Manufacturing, Retail, or other food sectors
- Experience with significant SAP transformations or S/4HANA go-lives is a plus
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for assigned projects, responsible for managing tickets, system incidents, daily operations, release testing, system optimizations, and new feature rollouts
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents promptly, including participating in on-call and after-hours support when required
- Implement patches, kernel upgrades, and support packs, and assist with system refreshes and client/system copies
- Analyze and identify opportunities to enhance future business processes, conduct gap analyses, and oversee delivery of new functionalities adhering to best practices to boost efficiency and data integrity
- Suggest and facilitate process improvements and new products to fulfill business needs or enhance systems
- Support ancillary systems and collaborate cross-functionally with other modules
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulations, and contractual commitments, supporting audit and compliance activities including Segregation of Duties (SoD) analysis
- Design, build, test, and maintain SAP roles and authorizations according to security best practices
- Manage user administration tasks including provisioning, de-provisioning, access modifications, and emergency access management
- Oversee the SAP landscape (production, QA, and development) by monitoring system performance, handling issues, and managing disaster recovery and high-availability processes
- Administer the Transport Management System (TMS) and coordinate transports across environments
- Monitor background jobs, interfaces, and overall system availability
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams on operating systems, database, and cloud or on-premise integrations
