Requirements
Must:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- No prior experience in a Sanitation role is required
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team
- Ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize tasks
- Capability to train and promote a safe work environment
- Proficient in reading and understanding HACCP, FDA, and OSHA requirements as necessary
- Familiarity with sanitation principles and practices within the food industry is a plus
- Understanding of HACCP program alongside FDA and OSHA standards is preferred

Responsibilities
- Utilize approved chemicals and techniques to clean and sanitize equipment, production areas, and floors
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment for comprehensive cleaning
- Coordinate all daily sanitation tasks within the facility
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper chemical usage and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Comply strictly with established sanitation programs and follow all GMP and HACCP guidelines related to cleanliness and product safety
- Ensure product safety and defense in the facility
- Conduct visual inspections and employ testing methods to verify cleanliness of surfaces
- Manage and maintain inventory of cleaning agents required for sanitation program compliance with OSHA and plant regulations
- Support operations in achieving optimal ratings during audits and inspections
- Advocate for all food safety initiatives
