Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Over 5 years of experience in developing web-based applications utilizing Java/J2EE technologies.
- Proficient in Core Java, including multi-threading and the Executor framework.
- Extensive knowledge of Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and MyBatis.
- Skilled in RESTful web services development and integration.
- Competent in JavaScript, JSP, CSS, HTML, Angular, and contemporary JavaScript libraries (e.g., jQuery).
- Familiar with AJAX, XML/XSLT, and JSON.
- Experience with application servers such as JBoss, Apache, and Tomcat.
- Knowledgeable in SQL database design, stored procedures, and performance optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with using GitHub Copilot in Agent mode to aid Java development.
- Ability to devise solutions compatible across various browsers and platforms.
- Strong grasp of web application security best practices.
- Preferred: Previous experience in developing property and casualty insurance applications.
- Preferred: Understanding of non-functional requirements like performance tuning and scalability strategies.
- Personal attributes: Self-driven, organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks in high-pressure situations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a sharp attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to convert business needs into technical designs.
- Develop, test, and upkeep high-quality source code across the entire stack.
- Create and implement unit tests; assist with functional and system integration testing.
- Engage in deployment processes and provide production support as necessary.
- Design and integrate application components for smooth interoperability.
- Ensure solutions satisfy performance, scalability, maintainability, and security criteria.
