Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in technical support, specifically in a help desk environment
- Strong knowledge of Epic software, particularly the AMBULATORY module
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with users and understand their needs
- Experience managing and prioritizing incidents and service requests
- Familiarity with IT service management tools
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, collecting and analyzing their technical support needs
- Provide high-level technical assistance and support for escalated issues
- Serve as an intermediary between customer requirements and technical applications, coordinating with other service providers and vendors
- Offer expert guidance on troubleshooting complex problems
- Educate customers on IT policies and procedures
- Identify and resolve complicated usability challenges after thorough analysis
- Research solutions using existing knowledge resources and documentation
- Maintain and update knowledge articles for use by the team
- Follow up with clients to ensure issues are fully resolved
- Escalate unresolved matters to the appropriate support personnel
- Recognize and address situations that require immediate action
- Keep abreast of system updates and changes
- Provide training to customers as needed
- Manage incidents and service requests using IT service management tools prioritizing effectively
- Collaborate with team members as necessary to resolve various application-related issues
Description
We are seeking an Epic Help Desk Technician for a four-month contract based in Rancho Cordova, CA, commencing mid-June 2025. Our client is dedicated to facilitating a merger with another hospital system on the Epic platform and requires support to handle inquiries regarding Epic-related ticket issues. This role focuses primarily on providing end-user support, especially within the AMBULATORY module, while ensuring exceptional customer service and technical assistance to enhance the user experience.
