Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science or business preferred
- 2+ years of relevant experience (for Cloud Software Engineer) or 5+ years (for Sr. Cloud Software Engineer)
- Candidates with significant relevant experience may be considered without a degree
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and tools such as AWS, MS Azure, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, and Splunk
- AWS Certification is preferred
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities
- Proficient in source control systems like GIT or Bitbucket
- Expertise in secure coding practices and automated testing
- Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code and container orchestration concepts
- Familiar with software dependency monitoring and alerting
- Understanding of advanced networking principles
- Knowledge of data visualization and dashboarding tools
- Ability to translate technical concepts for executive-level audiences
- Strong time management skills
- Passionate about discussing and teaching technology topics
Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, code, test, and configure software projects or enhancements
- Develop and implement application, software, and operating system components
- Conduct performance testing to ensure system improvements
- Create technical documentation for various functions including testing, training and troubleshooting
- Work across multiple modules and support related project areas
- Implement and test complex code changes to resolve defects in existing software
- Enhance future software versions and develop new applications
- Strengthen understanding of on-premise and cloud solutions, configuring new technologies accordingly
- Troubleshoot moderate issues within code and follow remediation plans
- Support software/system monitoring concerns requiring technical expertise
- Review project requirements and explore alternative technical solutions
- Develop understanding of the companys business for successful project support
- Align with Digital organizations objectives to contribute to technology integration efforts
- Engage in agile development practices like peer programming and test-driven development
- Collaborate with business analysts to interpret requirements and design API solutions
- Provide assistance to colleagues in designing integrations and interfaces
- Be available for off-hours work as needed for project support or maintenance
