Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of experience as an independent, self-sufficient engineer who performs well under pressure.
- Confidence to be an outspoken advocate for quality while being adaptable to business objectives.
- Ability to foster a strong culture of mentorship to support colleagues and promote a healthy development environment.
- Expert-level skills in creating stable, reliable tests that minimize flakiness across all layers.
- Proven ability to establish, maintain, and customize automation frameworks and libraries.
- Expertise in integrating test frameworks efficiently into CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Practical experience with testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Katalon, and Robot Framework.
- Desirable experience with AI product testing or tools that enhance processes like test case generation and script development.
- Extensive experience with API testing (Postman) and load testing tools such as JMeter or Blazemeter.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving memory usage issues while optimizing application performance.
- Capability to read and troubleshoot HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and backend languages like PHP or Java.
- Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 AA+ accessibility standards and current security protocols.
- Expert use of JIRA and Confluence for effective defect logging, test planning, and reporting.
- A positive, solutions-driven mindset with a commitment to achieving excellence as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct hands-on testing of responsive web and mobile applications along with their supporting infrastructure.
- Proactively promote clean coding practices, process improvements, and enhancements.
- Collaborate with product teams to create and refine robust testing strategies with a focus on a shift-left approach.
- Accurately estimate and define the scope of testing efforts and timelines while staying adaptable to changing requirements.
- Clearly communicate testing progress with concise and articulate messaging to support data-driven decision-making.
- Take the lead on requirements gathering, test execution, and regression testing across all functional systems.
- Assist in release cycles by participating in scope planning, effort estimation, and final approvals.
- Actively engage in a Quality Practice Community to encourage collaborative learning and innovation.
- Promote continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing throughout the engineering team.
