Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline with at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Bachelors degree with a minimum of 5 years of applicable work experience
- Strong expertise in Java programming
- Familiarity with some UNIX scripting; Python skills are advantageous
- Experience with SonarQube, SonaType, or similar scanning tools is beneficial
- Proficient in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Ansible, including DevOps best practices
- Hands-on experience with Tomcat and SpringBoot 3, as well as message brokers like Kafka and Active MQ
- Knowledge of distributed caching systems like Hazelcast and search/analytics tools such as Elastic Search, Kibana, and Splunk is a plus
- Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment with minimal oversight
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, demonstrating attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to design, implement, and oversee CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
- Develop and support Java applications to cater to trading business requirements
- Utilize configuration management tools such as Ansible to ensure consistency across development, testing, and production environments
- Monitor and troubleshoot applications and infrastructure using tools such as Splunk, Elastic Search, Filebeat, and Kibana
- Administer and manage application servers (Tomcat) and microservices deployed on SpringBoot 3
- Implement and oversee messaging systems using Kafka and Active MQ to enable efficient data transfer between applications
- Enhance and optimize system performance through distributed caching solutions like Hazelcast
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions in a fast-paced setting with minimal supervision
