Requirements

Must:
- A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience. - A High School Diploma is required; a BA/BS degree is preferred. - Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential. - Must have the ability to multitask and assist others in resolving IT-related issues. - Knowledge in the installation, maintenance, and administration of computer systems in a LAN/WAN environment is essential. - A solid understanding of current Microsoft-supported Windows operating systems is required. - Familiarity with Linux operating systems is preferred but not required. - Excellent written and oral communication skills are desired, along with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. - DoD Directive 8570.1 Information Assurance Technical Level II certification is required (e.g., Security CE, GSEC, SSCP, or CCNA-Security). - Familiarity with the Department of Defense (DOD) networking and security accreditation processes and procedures is necessary. - A working knowledge of Windows Active Directory is essential. - Knowledge of current Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) is desirable.

Responsibilities

As a Systems Administrator, I will: - Provide answers to inquiries regarding the installation, operation, configuration, customization, and use of products on Windows 10 computers. - Utilize advanced diagnostic techniques to identify issues, explore causes, and offer solutions to resolve common failures. - Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related problems faced by users. - Provide hardware support that includes, but is not limited to, Intel x86 based PCs, overhead projectors, soft boards, telecommunications devices, printers (laser and inkjet), scanners, and Common Access Cards (CAC). - Offer software support covering Windows operating systems currently maintained by Microsoft, Microsoft Office Suite, as well as various engineering and scientific development tools. - Manage the installation of new software releases, system upgrades, and evaluations, along with the application of patches to address software-related issues and Information Assurance Vulnerabilities (IAVs). - Collaborate with the Corporate IT Help Desk to uphold the Incident Ticket and Change Request processes via Remedy. - Assist in maintaining and monitoring the organizational mailbox to guarantee timely support for user requests. - Develop and maintain IT-related procedures to support the organization's needs. - Work with the organization's Information Assurance Officer (IAO) to achieve system accreditation. - Offer recommendations regarding future IT needs for the organization. - Maintain data files and monitor system configurations to ensure data integrity. - Assist in preparing monthly progress and status reports.

Description


Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 10-20 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and twist, bend, and squat as needed. Additionally, candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level, and US Citizenship is required for Secret clearance at this location.
