Requirements
Must:
- Three (3) or more years of relevant professional experience.
- High School Diploma required; BA/BS degree preferred.
- Proven troubleshooting abilities along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and provide assistance in resolving IT-related issues.
- Knowledge of installation, maintenance, and administration of computer systems in a LAN/WAN environment.
- Strong understanding of current Microsoft supported Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems is a plus but not mandatory.
- High level of competency in both written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- DoD Directive 8570.1 Information Assurance Technical Level II certification required (e.g., Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP, or CCNA-Security).
- Understanding of Department of Defense (DOD) networking and security accreditation processes and procedures.
- Working knowledge of Windows Active Directory.
- Familiarity with current Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Responsibilities
- Provide customer support and technical assistance regarding installation, operation, configuration, customization, and usage of products on Windows 10 computers.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic techniques to identify and troubleshoot issues, investigate causes, and recommend effective solutions to common failures.
- Support hardware, software, and network-related issues encountered by users, including Intel x86 based PCs, printers, scanners, and telecommunications equipment.
- Manage software support for various Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and specialty engineering and scientific development tools.
- Oversee the installation of new software releases, system upgrades, and the evaluation and application of patches to resolve software-related issues and Information Assurance Vulnerabilities (IAVs).
- Coordinate with the Corporate IT Help Desk to maintain Incident Tickets and Change Request processes using Remedy.
- Monitor the organizational mailbox to ensure timely support for user requests for assistance.
- Maintain and develop IT procedures necessary for organizational support.
- Collaborate with the Information Assurance Officer (IAO) to achieve system accreditation.
- Provide insights and recommendations for future IT needs of the organization.
- Ensure data integrity by maintaining configuration files and monitoring system setup.
- Assist in preparing monthly progress and status reports.
