Requirements
Must:
- Associates degree or higher in IT or Cybersecurity (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required, 5 years preferred
- Previous experience within DoD networks
- Avaya Certified Support Specialist (ACSS) or equivalent certification
- Nortel Meridian System Administration or equivalent certification
- IAT Level II certification (per DoD 8570.01-M)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or equivalent
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills with individuals at all levels, including external contacts
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain government-owned telephony switches (PBX), specifically Avaya Systems CM4.0
- Troubleshoot and resolve switch-related issues
- Conduct software updates and apply patches
- Install and configure switch hardware
- Monitor daily operations of switch systems
- Provide support for voicemail systems and Remote Intelligent Peripheral Equipment (IPE)
- Utilize a company vehicle for travel to remote locations weekly
- Ensure that switch systems are fully operational and compliant with DoD/Navy standards
- Perform other assigned tasks as needed
