Systems Administrator - Linux & Windows Support

- Manage a variety of Linux-based applications for engineering and scientific tasks, adapting software and hardware to meet mission-specific or compliance requirements. - Possess knowledge of Cisco switches and networking protocols tailored for network-focused administration. - Diagnose and address complex system-level and networking issues efficiently. - Write and maintain advanced automation scripts. - Provide support to weapons systems operating on isolated networks, customizing each systems hardware configuration. - Evaluate, secure, and mitigate cyber vulnerabilities through tools such as Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Nessus vulnerability scanner, and relevant security guides. - Independently plan and lead projects of limited scope or segments of larger initiatives supporting various functional areas. - Work both autonomously and as part of a diverse team, spearheading cybersecurity compliance initiatives. - Offer guidance on complex IT and cybersecurity compliance matters, interpreting evolving standards and policies. - Coordinate System Administration support activities to achieve program goals utilizing various administrative tools. - Implement industry security best practices alongside DoD, DoN, and NAVSEA cybersecurity techniques within computing environments. - Foster knowledge sharing and documentation practices by creating detailed technical documentation for systems and processes. - Demonstrate strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and manage support requests through the organizations ticketing system. - Mentor and develop team members to expand skill sets and discover enhancement opportunities. - Participate in and occasionally lead collaborative teams to address complex IT challenges.
