Requirements

Must:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Wideband Military SATCOM (WGS) planner, manager, and/or controller - Associates Degree or higher in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Note: 2 years of relevant experience can substitute for 1 year of education - At least 5 years working as a military SATCOM controller - Security+ or an equivalent vendor certification is preferred - Proficient in utilizing IT tools - Strong skills in planning, implementing, verifying, and troubleshooting local and wide-area enterprise networks - Excellent troubleshooting abilities for enterprise networks (Cisco IOS, IP routing, EIGRP) - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications - Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment - Availability for critical operations during standard and non-standard hours - Active DoD TS/SCI or TS with SCI eligibility clearance

Responsibilities

- Provide Wideband Support in accordance with the duties of the Consolidated-Satellite Systems Expert (C-SSE) - Maintain situational awareness of all activities concerning the WSOCs and RSSCs - Review proposed satellite command plans and offer troubleshooting assistance to WSOCs, RSSCs, and SATCOM terminals - Familiarize oneself with and adhere to the Transmission Controller Operating Instructions in the Wideband Controllers Guide (WCG) - Review the Control Change Queue in CNPS and document alterations to CNPS plans - Verify transmission link performance for assigned satellites utilizing the WRMS - Analyze 8-Hour Reports for transmission and terminal performance verification - Engage with WSOCs to make necessary adjustments to meet established operational parameters - Assist WSOCs in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving anomalous transmission and payload conditions - Contribute to the development and review of policy and procedural documents - Report operational and maintenance issues to CSpOC as required - Perform all necessary reporting to relevant agencies - Complete and submit DORs in compliance with applicable guidelines - Coordinate enterprise terminal ASIs and emergency outages with relevant agencies - Review pertinent DIMS Reports daily - Check alarms from the previous 24 hours in WRMS on a daily basis - Complete and submit AARs according to applicable guidelines - Maintain situational awareness of the WSOMS network using SolarWinds - Assist with primary troubleshooting and anomaly resolution during shift work, providing 24/7 coverage support, while promoting a culture of safety - Perform additional duties as assigned
