Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical field; Masters preferred
- At least 12 years of professional technical experience
- Minimum of 6 years of specialized experience in Model Based Systems Engineering and Weapons/Weapon Systems programs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with employees and external partners
- Excellent interpersonal abilities and sound judgment for collaborative or independent work
- Physical capability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand, walk, twist, bend, and squat periodically
- Current security clearance at the Secret level, with US Citizenship required
Responsibilities
- Analyzes both actual and anticipated operational activities to create a solid quantitative foundation for technology exploration and resource management
- Employs modeling, measurement techniques, mathematical statistics, and engineering methods as necessary
- Provides essential support in determining requirements, conceptualizing, designing, developing, testing, verifying, and documenting modeling and simulation-based decision support systems
- May offer guidance and leadership to team members, despite not being in a supervisory role
Description
We are Bowhead, seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to serve as a Subject Matter Expert supporting the creation of innovative technology solutions from project inception through testing. This part-time role (20 hours per week) is crucial for enhancing our capabilities in expeditionary engagement. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in integrated systems, guidance, navigation, and sensors to improve accuracy in engaging moving targets.
