Requirements
Must:
- High School diploma required
- A minimum of six months of general Information Technology (IT) experience in a customer service setting
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Effective communication skills to interact with employees at all levels and external contacts
- Strong interpersonal capabilities and sound judgment, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team
- Physically capable of lifting 10-15 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, twist, bend, and squat for extended periods
- Must be eligible to acquire and maintain a Secret level security clearance
- U.S. Citizenship is required for Secret clearance at this location
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site customer support and technical assistance at the V Department Service Center
- Manage data transfers from external hard drives and removable media as requested by clients
- Collaborate with other IT staff to assist with their job functions when needed
- Attend and engage in IT workshops, conferences, and organizations focused on IT topics for idea exchange and networking
- Participate in continuing education workshops and webinars to enhance skills
- Execute job duties with a high level of professionalism and courtesy while delivering excellent customer service
- Offer scheduled after-hours on-call support to clients
