Must:
We require candidates to possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, along with five (5) to ten (10) years of pertinent experience. You should have familiarity with Navy manned and unmanned underwater systems, as well as a solid understanding of system engineering principles applied to various energy storage devices, including batteries and fuel cells. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications—Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint—is essential. Effective communication skills are necessary for interaction with all levels of staff and external contacts. We seek individuals with strong interpersonal abilities and sound judgment, who can work independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities
In this role, I would expect you to create System Qualification Test Plans, Performance Test Plans, Safety/Hazard Characterization Test Plans, as well as necessary Procedures and Reports. You will either execute these tests directly or supervise a team to carry out testing at NSWC Crane and at various Expeditionary Battery fielded system locations, including battery vendor sites. You will conduct Field Integration and Operational Check-out leading up to Initial Operating Capability and perform periodic Field Maintenance on large batteries. Additionally, you will carry out Reliability Analyses and Safety Engineering processes on systems and undertake other assignments as required.
Description
Physical demands include the ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods, as well as twist, bend, and squat occasionally. Candidates must be capable of obtaining a Secret level security clearance; individuals currently holding this clearance are particularly desirable. U.S. citizenship is required for the Secret clearance at our locations.
