Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in information technology, business administration, computer science, business management, systems controls & engineering, or a related discipline.
- Masters Degree in related fields is preferred, though not mandatory.
- A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software engineering, with over 1 year dedicated to architecture.
- Exceptional technical knowledge, engineering rigor, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Capability to clearly articulate complex technology topics to senior executives.
- Extensive technical knowledge in various technology stacks, including:
- Mainframe architecture (preferable but not essential).
- Cloud-native applications and cloud services.
- Omnichannel architecture.
- API and microservices architecture.
- Integration methodologies and tools.
- Structured and unstructured databases along with their usage patterns.
- High-speed, high-volume transaction processing systems.
- Real-time logging, monitoring, and resilience techniques.
- Disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Cutting-edge technologies such as AI/ML, IoT, Blockchain, and data analytics architecture (e.g., Data Lake).
- Familiarity with programming paradigms (e.g., object-oriented).
- Knowledge of process automation tools (e.g., DevOps, AIOps).
- Experience with agile methodologies and associated tools.
- An agile mindset that transcends obstacles, with a vision for iterative progression towards modern architectural capabilities focusing on business value.
- Proficiency in generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) and validating outputs.
- Willingness to travel for client engagements, recognizing that travel frequency will vary based on client needs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including designers, engineers, researchers, technical experts, and consultants to create leading IT concepts and architectural solutions.
- Employ technical expertise and analytical skills to aid organizations in their technical transformation.
- Design application, solution, and data architecture tailored to business needs.
- Develop feasibility studies and technical concepts while conducting technical proofs of concept to scale software solutions.
- Perform comprehensive technology assessments and implement robust IT architectures.
- Analyze intricate IT application landscapes for optimization opportunities.
- Review and evaluate technical architecture and code quality.
- Support IT functions during mergers and acquisitions, focusing on transformational aspects of the IT department.
- Restructure IT processes and organizations to enhance efficiency.
- Optimize application development processes for better performance.
- Design work packages/modules for IT implementation projects.
- Assess product quality, software packages, and solutions through comparative analysis across organizational systems.
- Craft clear and engaging narratives to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Deliver impactful presentations and lead discussions to achieve consensus with clients.
- Foster collaboration, mentor teams, and share knowledge to drive success across projects.
- Drive innovation by uncovering new ideas and delivering transformative solutions.
- Support business development via proposal writing and project scoping.
