Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in information technology, business administration, computer science, business management, system controls & engineering, or a related field.
- Masters degree in a related field preferred but not required.
- Over 6 years of professional experience in software engineering with at least 4 years in an architecture role.
- Strong technical expertise and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to articulate complex technology concepts to senior executives.
- Extensive knowledge of various technology stacks.
- Familiarity with mainframe architecture is a plus.
- Proficiency in cloud-native applications and cloud services architecture.
- Understanding of omnichannel architecture.
- Experience with integration methodologies and tools.
- Knowledge of API and Microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with structured and unstructured databases and their usage.
- Understanding of high-speed, high-volume, high-frequency transaction processing systems.
- Knowledge of real-time logging, monitoring, and resiliency strategies.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Awareness of next-generation capabilities (e.g., AI/ML, IoT, Blockchain) and associated technologies.
- Experience in data analytics architecture (e.g., Data Lake).
- Proficiency in programming paradigms and approaches (e.g., object-oriented).
- Familiarity with process automation techniques and tools (e.g., DevOps, AIOps).
- Experience with agile engineering practices and toolset support.
- An agile mindset capable of overcoming obstacles and visualizing progressive architecture capabilities aligned with business value.
- Willingness to travel to work with clients and BCG teams, as required.
- Proficiency with Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) and ability to validate responses.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of designers, engineers, researchers, technical specialists, and consultants to develop innovative IT concepts and architectural solutions.
- Employ a discovery-driven approach to create engaging end-to-end experiences at the crossroads of technology and human interaction.
- Leverage your deep technical knowledge and business insight to facilitate organizational transformation in technology.
- Lead initiatives primarily in the US Public Sector, while also being open to opportunities in commercial and private sectors as required.
- Address complex challenges and establish best practices for IT within client organizations.
- Serve as a change agent, aligning and guiding teams in implementing new processes and toolsets.
- Advocate for agile methodologies and strategically tackle difficult challenges to drive progress and adaptation.
