Requirements
Must:
- A Bachelor's degree is mandatory (An Associate’s degree with two additional years of experience, or a high school diploma/GED with four years of experience may be acceptable).
- I possess eight years of experience in supporting Epic applications, particularly in complex builds and integrations.
- I have a minimum of four years of experience with Epic builds focusing on complex builds and integrations.
- Epic Cadence certification is required.
- Preferably, I also have certifications in Epic Referral, Epic Decision Tree Badge, and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
Responsibilities
- I collaborate with the manager to set priorities for daily tasks (tickets and projects), allocate staff, and make necessary adjustments.
- I contribute as a subject matter expert for our core applications.
- I guide analysts through the processes of design, configuration, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
- I serve as an escalation point for resolving intricate issues.
- I leverage my Epic expertise and consultative abilities to identify viable business solutions.
- I analyze technology and operations, recommending new features, vendors, or integrations.
- I research vendor functionalities, assess integration requirements, and suggest customizations as needed.
- I lead multi-month projects from their inception to successful implementation.
- I perform advanced configurations and customizations on systems.
- I implement modifications such as security classes and moderately complex logic or new templates.
- I ensure that downstream impacts, including billing, admissions, and provider access, are adequately addressed.
- I conduct unit, integrated, and specialty testing.
- I manage integrations and upgrades that are eligible for Epic.
- I coordinate testing efforts for multi-application projects.
- I partner with IT and vendors for non-Epic integrations.
- I oversee upgrade initiatives, assign release note reviews, communicate milestones, and escalate issues when necessary.
- I lead team meetings, maintaining communication across teams and providing updates to leadership.
- I represent the team during internal and external meetings.
- I review schedules, identify performance issues, and ensure coverage.
- I support onboarding, training, and mentorship of team members.
- I audit work for quality and provide performance feedback.
- I develop or contribute to both online and in-person training materials.
- I assist with process improvements, escalate resource requirements, and support implementation efforts.
- I may also present at national Epic forums and participate in training or conferences for certification.
Description
In this role, I work closely with the manager to prioritize and assign tasks and projects within the Epic Cadence and Referral team, ensuring that the needs of our operational end-users and assigned Epic applications are met. As a senior resource with specialized knowledge of our core applications, I guide analysts through all aspects of design, build/configuration, testing, and implementation, fostering an environment of mentorship and development. My role includes not just technical guidance, but also the cultivation of skills within our team to identify and implement effective solutions.
