Requirements
Must:
- I require a bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- You should have a minimum of 4–5 years of experience in Epic application support, preferably in a hospital or academic medical center.
- An advanced understanding of patient registration, admission, discharge, transfer (ADT), and eligibility workflows is essential.
- I am looking for candidates with demonstrated experience in leading or mentoring Epic analysts or project teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary, with the capability to influence and work collaboratively across technical and operational teams.
- Certifications needed include Epic Grand Central certification and Epic Prelude certification. Epic Real-Time Eligibility (RTE) certification is preferred, and additional Epic certifications or cross-certifications are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- I will need you to lead the design, configuration, testing, and support of Epic Grand Central, Prelude, and RTE modules, ensuring they align with our operational objectives.
- You will provide strategic recommendations to enhance Epic workflows and system functionalities for intricate business processes.
- Partnering with senior operational stakeholders, you will analyze, document, and convert complex business requirements into system solutions.
- As a mentor and resource for junior analysts, you will provide guidance on configuration, troubleshooting, and best practices.
- You will oversee system changes, upgrades, and enhancements, ensuring compliance with our change management standards and Epic governance policies.
- I expect you to lead troubleshooting efforts for significant application or integration issues, coordinating cross-functional teams for timely resolution.
- It will be necessary for you to develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system architecture, workflows, training materials, and operational guides.
- Collaborating with the training team and operational leaders, you will facilitate smooth adoption of system changes and optimization initiatives.
- As needed, you will provide tier-two and tier-three support, acting as a key escalation point for complex Epic issues.
- Participation in the 24/7 on-call rotation, system maintenance, and critical incident management activities will be part of your duties.
- Finally, I will expect you to drive continuous improvement, standardization, and strategic initiatives across Epic modules and our departments.

This role of a Senior Epic Analyst - Grand Central/Prelude/Real-Time Eligibility requires a specialist who can effectively manage the design, implementation, testing, and support of the Epic systems, while closely working with operational leaders, end users, and IT teams. You will act as a subject matter expert, guiding and mentoring your peers and cross-functional teams and serving as the primary liaison between end users and Epic technical resources. Your expertise will be pivotal in supporting complex clinical and administrative workflows, promoting operational efficiency, and achieving strategic goals.
