Requirements

Must:
We seek candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in healthcare, IT, or a related field. You should have a minimum of 5 years of experience engaging directly in Epic application support, specifically performing builds within the relevant application(s). Demonstrated expertise in protocol management or build in oncology or complex clinical workflows is essential. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are a must, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with clinical, operational, and IT teams. Preferred qualifications include experience in a hospital or academic medical center environment, familiarity with oncology medication management, chemotherapy protocols, and clinical decision support, as well as previous involvement with Epic upgrades, testing, and optimization projects. An understanding of Willow medication build or prior experience with Willow is also advantageous.

In this role, you will lead the protocol build in Epic Beacon, which includes treatment plans, orders, and clinical workflows. You will work closely with oncology clinical staff to comprehend protocol requirements and translate them into effective Epic workflows. Your tasks will also involve configuring, maintaining, and supporting Epic Beacon workflows, along with participating in testing, validation, and optimization initiatives for new or updated Beacon functionalities. You will troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Beacon workflows and escalate complex problems as required. Furthermore, you will develop and maintain documentation, such as workflow diagrams, build guides, and support materials. Collaboration with IT, pharmacy, and clinical teams will be vital to ensure successful adoption of system changes. Additionally, you will provide ongoing training and education for clinical staff concerning Beacon functionality, engage in system upgrades, go-live activities, and optimization projects, and serve as a subject matter expert for Beacon users, providing tier-two support.

The Senior Epic Analyst – Beacon plays a crucial role in the configuration, implementation, and ongoing support of Epic Beacon workflows, primarily focusing on oncology. In this position, you will closely collaborate with clinical teams, operational leaders, and IT colleagues to ensure that the functionality of Beacon aligns with clinical protocols, medication management, and our organizational objectives. By acting as a key link between end users and technical teams, you will work to optimize workflows, troubleshoot issues, and support system enhancements. Epic Beacon certification is required for this role.
