Requirements
Must:
- I require a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent blend of education, certifications, and relevant professional experience.
- Ideally, I am looking for candidates with a minimum of 6 years of experience in supporting Epic applications, including at least 3 years focusing on Epic build responsibilities.
- Previous experience with scheduling and referral workflows is highly preferred.
- Candidates should have experience in managing complex builds, integrations, and upgrades.
- I value experience in collaborating directly with operational stakeholders to convert business needs into effective system solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively contribute to multi-application projects and manage designated workstreams is essential.
- Epic Cadence certification is mandatory, while Epic Referrals certification and Epic Decision Tree Badge are preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is also preferred, along with additional Epic certifications beyond Cadence/Referrals (such as Prelude, Grand Central, Welcome, Resolute) being strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- I will rely on you to act as a subject matter expert for the Epic Cadence and Referrals applications, equipped with in-depth knowledge of scheduling and referral workflows.
- You will perform advanced system builds and configurations, including moderately complex logic, security settings, workflows, and templates.
- Collaboration with operational stakeholders to comprehend needs, propose enhancements, and translate requirements into system solutions will be a crucial part of your role.
- Conducting unit, integrated, and regression testing for upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations is expected.
- You will research Epic vendor functionality and recommend system features, customizations, or integrations to streamline workflows.
- Supporting Epic vendor integrations and coordinating testing with cross-application teams will be part of your responsibilities.
- You will troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues in partnership with IT peers and vendors, as necessary.
- Maintaining documentation will also be essential, including system build records, workflows, and technical specifications.
- Collaborating with peers across IT to ensure that downstream impacts (billing, admitting, provider access, etc.) are properly managed is key.
- Assisting in upgrade readiness by reviewing release notes, documenting system changes, and testing new features is expected.
- Mentoring junior analysts in Epic build, troubleshooting methods, and best practices will be part of your responsibilities.
- Participating in team meetings, cross-departmental workgroups, and user forums to promote alignment and knowledge sharing is also crucial.
- You will contribute to process improvement initiatives and provide insights on optimizing support operations.
- Attending Epic user groups, training sessions, or certification conferences to stay current in the field may also be part of your role.

The Senior Epic Analyst – Cadence/Referrals is instrumental in enhancing and supporting Epic applications within the scheduling and referral workflows. This position encompasses advanced system design, configuration, testing, and maintenance, ensuring seamless integration across supported systems and operational processes. As an experienced Epic resource, the Senior Analyst will closely collaborate with operational leaders, end-users, and IT partners to deliver effective solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and foster improvements. Additionally, you will provide mentorship to junior analysts and contribute to process enhancements that align with our health organization’s mission of delivering high-quality patient care.
