Requirements
Must:
- We require a bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience.
- We need at least 2 years of hands-on Epic application support experience.
- We require demonstrated knowledge of patient registration, admission, discharge, transfer (ADT), and eligibility workflows.
- We expect strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities.
- We need the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical partners.
- We require Epic Grand Central certification.
- We require Epic Prelude certification.
- Epic Real-Time Eligibility (RTE) certification is preferred.
- Additional Epic certifications or cross-certifications are a plus.
- Experience with Epic integration touchpoints, interface processes, and downstream system impacts is preferred.
- Experience supporting projects or contributing to Epic upgrade cycles is a plus.
Responsibilities
- We provide daily build, maintenance, and support for Epic Grand Central, Prelude, and Real-Time Eligibility applications.
- We work with clinical and administrative stakeholders to understand operational needs and convert them into effective Epic workflows and configurations.
- We design, test, and implement system changes, enhancements, and new functionality in line with our change management standards.
- We troubleshoot and resolve application and integration issues, escalating more complex matters when necessary.
- We participate in system upgrades, validation efforts, and optimization projects to keep the platform reliable and efficient.
- We create and maintain detailed system documentation, workflow diagrams, and support resources.
- We partner with our training team and operational leaders to support successful adoption of new functionality.
- We take part in a 24/7 on-call rotation and scheduled maintenance activities as needed.
- We support continuous improvement and standardization efforts across Epic modules and our departments.

We are Boston Childrens, and this Epic Analyst II role supports our Grand Central, Prelude, and Real-Time Eligibility modules. In this position, we serve as a key connection between users and Epic technical teams to ensure system performance aligns with clinical and administrative workflows and organizational goals.
